Glenn Roopchand
Born in Trinidad and Tobago
Lives & works in Montclair, NJ
"I believe that all living entities are incarnates of a universal feminine principle called nature and because of this I never lose the feeling of perfect at-homeness with this universal rapture. As we blossom to the sky we are embraced by the soft mystic glow of the atmosphere where ancestral rhythms still linger in our muscles, nerves and brain, igniting cosmic overtones of pride, dignity and spiritual affinities.
I constantly listen for that infinite rhythm that allows me an opportunity to develop a vision that can lead to a further understanding of this rhythmic journey to the over-soul, the soul of the whole; the wise silence; the universal beauty, to which every part and particle of our being is related to the eternal one."
Glenn Roopchand worked as an apprentice with renowned artist Carlisle Chang, where he developed on the job training in the areas of Painting, Mural, Costume and Stage Design.
He juxtaposed his newly learnt skills with accompanying studies by attending John Donaldson Technical Institute. P.O.S, Trinidad. W.I.
Glenn continued his quest for knowledge at:
The Art Students League of New York
Pratt Institute, New York
Montclair State University, New Jersey
